Call to Artists

Pella Historical Museums & Tulip Time is excited to announce our First Annual Tulip Time Art Competition! The purpose of this competition is to celebrate area artists as part of our Annual Tulip Time Festival, working together to capture the beauty of Pella and promote our community to visitors.

 

The winner of the Tulip Time Art Competition will receive a $250 cash prize, and their artwork will be featured in Pella Historical’s Tulip Time brochure, merchandise, and other marketing materials. Winner will be announced on Saturday, August 3, at our Kermis celebration.

Guidelines

  • All visual mediums are accepted, though the artwork must reproduce well.

  • Dimensions must be 16x20 inches, either portrait or landscape.

  • Artwork must represent Pella, Pella’s Dutch heritage, and especially our 2025 Tulip Time theme - “Our Heritage in Bloom”

  • Artists retain ownership of their artwork, and winning artist must sign usage agreement allowing Pella Historical to exclusively reproduce and sell prints and other merchandise.

How to Submit

Deliver your submission to the Pella Historical Museums Gift Shop between 10am and 4pm, Monday through Saturday, by Saturday, July 27. Or, send a high quality (300+ DPI) scan to info@pellahistorical.com by 4pm on July 27. Include your first and last name, full address, email, phone number, title of your artwork, and medium.
