About King's Day
In the Netherlands, King's Day, or Koningsdag, celebrates the birthday of King Willem-Alexander. The Dutch party all day long throughout the country, with flea markets, food and drink, boat rides in the canals, and a whole lot of fun. Of course, the most important thing is that everyone wears orange!

King's Day fun for the whole family! You won't want to miss the crafts and activities, games, and sweet and savory treats you can experience throughout the Historical Village. Watch the Dutchesses perform, meet members of the Tulip Court, and bring home your own King's Day goodie bag.

King's Day Market
This year, we are excited to host a brand new market at Scholte Gardens! The market will feature unique vendors, food trucks, and live music. Check it out from 10am to 7pm!​

City Tours
Take a tour of Pella in our open-air wagon pulled by a tractor. You'll see all of Pella's sites while learning from a knowledgeable spieler! Thank you to Vander Ploeg Bakery for sponsoring City Tours on King's Day.

Tours are available at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 2:30, & 3:30. They load and unload from the corner of Franklin & Main Streets.

Tickets are available in-person, day-of only, beginning at 10am.​
